Moving your checking account to Suncoast is easy - just follow our step by step
instructions to help you switch over your account so you can take full
advantage of the value and saving of our
free checking account services.

Open your new,
free checking account at Suncoast. This account provides you with the
Suncoast for Schools Rewards Check Card which also serves as your ATM
card. You will also order new checks upon opening your account. Keep a record
of your account number (printed on your checks & deposit slips) to be used on
the switch forms.

Verify that all checks or automatic withdrawals have cleared from your previous
account. These transactions might take a few weeks, so leave enough money in
your previous account to cover them.

Destroy ATM/Debit Cards, deposit slips and checks from your previous account.

Change all your current direct deposits to Suncoast using our
Direct Deposit Forms. Contact us if you need assistance with completing
the forms.

Provide merchants who make automatic withdrawals (Automatic
Withdrawal Checklist)
,
ACH or Check Card debits, with your new Suncoast account number and routing
number (located on your voided check) or your new
Suncoast for Schools Rewards Check Card number.

Cancel automated payment services, such as bill-paying by phone, or PC
services, by contacting your previous financial institution. We have a variety
of automated services designed for your convenience and we'll be happy to set
them up for you.

Verify that all outstanding transactions on your old account have cleared and
direct deposits have been transferred. Once verified, notify your previous
financial institution (Account Closing
Request)
to close your account and request a check for the balance.
